Hello we are Rod and Debbie Linacre and our two children Carla and Charlie,we are a small family run Kennels based in Accrington in the North West of England .
Our dogs are also part of our family and not just show dogs .although we do show and breed as well, our aims are always to take every effort to breed sound healthy dogs with excellent temperaments and to better the breed each time .
I got my first bullterrier as we all do as a pet having wanted one since i was a boy seeing CH ABARAXUS AUDACITY win best in show at crufts ,but my parents would not let me have one ,but i promised myself i would get one as soon as i left home ,which i did the day i got my keys to my first house i bought my first bullie (sykes)after the character in the film Oliver twist
Although sykes was not the greatest show dog in the world he was my best friend and companion and is the reason i fell in love with the breed and also the reason behind me showing dogs today,although to the trained eye he was not the greatest bullterrier in the world he was a large well made dog with fantastic movement .a friend i new talked me in to showing him and at my first ever show a local open show of all breeds he went to the last four in best in show,and from that day forward i was hooked .
After having Sykes for about two years i decided to by another ,this time a bitch and was put in touch with GERALD and Barbara Nichols of the Widgery kennels, from whom after a great deal of vetting i got my first bitch DREAM MACHINE OF WIDGERY
This was our first bitch and did quite well at championship shows ,never being placed lower than third at any show,with help from the Nichols i started to learn more about what i should look for in a bull terrier and more importantly how to show and present my dogs after about another 18 months i bought my second bitch from the Nichols WIDGERY DREAM TOPPING OF YENDORIAN and these where my kennels foundation every dog or bitch we have today can be traced back to these two .Thanks to the help and advice i was given from the Nichol's and Bob & Audrey Edmund's of the famous Ghabar kennels ,we have gone on to do quite well in the breed , having made one champion up in CH YENDORIAN MORNING ROSE
Also having sold other people bitches that have gone on to win top honors at champ show and open club show level and become their kennel foundation ,and i have also gone on to judge this breed we love at club show level, and hopefully in the not to distant future championship show level.
